Gregorjevo

Na predvečer gregorjevega se po starem slovenskem običaju spušča v vodo razsvetljene barčice in hišice. Ta običaj mi je zelo všeč in krasno se mi zdi, da ga v tolikšnem številu ohranjajo še danes. Letos smo se ga udeležili tudi mi s svojo barčico. Origami barčico sem sicer naredila jaz, ker je naš mali še malo premajhen, da bi jo lahko sam, imel je pa nalogo jo pobarvati. Barve si je sposodil kar pri meni ... in kako je užival v vrtenju čopiča!
Sledili smo jo kar en lep del poti ob Gradaščici (dokler se je dalo - zaradi gužve!) in presenečeni opazovali kako spretno in hitro se suka med majhnimi in veliko večjimi kolegicami.

An old slovenian tradition goes that on the eve of St. Gregory we put into the water small boats and houses illuminated with candels. This is such a beautiful tradition and I am very glad that so many people preserve it. This year we attended the ceremony with our own boat. The origami boat I did by myself, because our littleone is a little too small for making it by himself, but he had a task to paint it. He borrowed the colors from me ... and he enjoyed painting and playing with the brush so much! We followed our boat along the river channel (as long as we could - because of the crowds!) and we were surprised how quickly and deftly she floated between the small and much larger boats.
